Terms and Conditions
Draft for legal review | 31 October 2026
These terms describe the planned marketplace. MachineBucket is currently in development. Features described below may not yet be available. These terms require legal review before the public launch.
1. About MachineBucket
MachineBucket is a worldwide online marketplace for machinery, equipment, spare parts and related services. Independent sellers advertise their own goods and services. Unless explicitly stated, MachineBucket is not the seller, manufacturer, inspector or owner of advertised equipment.
2. Acceptance and eligibility
By using the marketplace you agree to these terms and applicable policies. Account holders must be at least 18 years old and legally able to contract. Anyone acting for a business confirms they are authorised to do so.
3. Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information and protect your login details. You are responsible for authorised account activity. We may request reasonable verification and restrict accounts where there is evidence of misuse, fraud or legal breaches.
4. Accurate machinery advertisements
Sellers must have authority to advertise their equipment and must accurately describe its condition, model, specifications, location, availability and price. Known material defects must be disclosed. Sellers must update listings when equipment is sold or withdrawn.
5. Prohibited activity
Do not advertise stolen or unlawful goods, mislead users, publish fraudulent prices, spam the platform, impersonate others, upload malicious material or infringe third-party rights. We may remove listings or restrict accounts when necessary.
6. Photographs and content
Only upload photographs, descriptions and documents that you own or are authorised to use. You retain ownership while granting MachineBucket a non-exclusive licence to host, display and promote that content in connection with the marketplace.
7. Free listings and renewal
Machinery listings are free during testing, with no credit card required. The proposed six-month offer and future Basic, Pro and Dealer plans are not active. No paid plans or membership restrictions are activated. Any paid subscription requires explicit consent; accounts and listing data will be preserved if a seller does not subscribe. Manufacturer advertising is a separate service.
8. Buyer accounts and enquiries
When available, registered buyers may track enquiries and saved equipment in a private account. Sellers are not guaranteed to respond, and listings may become unavailable.
9. Buyer and seller messaging
Where messaging is provided, conversations may be linked to a particular machine and seller. Do not use messages for harassment, spam or fraud. Communications may be retained for safety, dispute handling and legal compliance as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Sales and purchases
Unless otherwise specified, buyers and sellers contract directly with each other. They must agree payment, inspection, condition, delivery, loading, taxes, customs and other terms. Users should independently verify counterparties and machinery ownership.
11. Transport and trade services
Independent transport, rigging, freight, customs and other service providers are responsible for their qualifications, insurance, quotations and performance. Advertising on MachineBucket is not a guarantee of service quality.
12. Paid promotions and memberships
Optional featured listings, advertising and service-provider memberships may have separate prices and terms. Applicable fees, periods, taxes and cancellation or refund rules will be displayed before payment.
13. Fraud prevention
Verify business identity, ownership records, payment instructions and equipment condition before trading. Report suspicious activity through the official contact page. We may investigate and cooperate with lawful authorities.
14. Availability
We aim to keep the marketplace accessible but cannot promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages and security work may affect access.
15. Responsibility and liability
Independent sellers remain responsible for their listings and contractual promises. MachineBucket does not automatically assume responsibility for third-party sales or disputes. Nothing in these terms excludes fraud liability, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or rights that cannot legally be limited.
16. Privacy
Personal data, account records and communications are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law. Some records may be retained for lawful security, compliance and dispute-resolution purposes.
17. Suspension and account closure
Users may request account closure. We may restrict accounts or remove content for serious breaches, fraud or security threats. Where appropriate, users will receive information about the decision and a way to challenge it.
18. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms to reflect changes to our services or legal obligations. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Mandatory rights remain unaffected.
19. Governing law and disputes
The governing law and dispute arrangements will be finalised once the operating legal entity and jurisdiction are confirmed. Mandatory protections under applicable law remain in place.
20. Contact
For questions, complaints or reports of suspected fraud, use the official MachineBucket Contact page.
